Vertical jigging is a specialized form of fishing that involves rapid twiching and reeling of a lead lure up and down the water column. The fishing grounds are located anywhere between 40-65 miles offshore in the crystal clear blue waters of the Gulf Stream. On average, you will be dropping your jigs into 200-300ft of water. Expect to catch a diverse array of species- amberjack, mahi mahi, grouper, pompano, or tuna. Start dreaming of your trophy fish! We readily have customers catching giant fish. In 2009, some caught 100+lbs amberjack, 70+lbs wahoo, and even 400+lbs sharks on these trips. In 2010, 60+lbs cobia and 30+lbs grouper were had on our trips.
