BFTC will host its 4th annual Blackfish Tournament. By booking on any of BFTC blackfish trips on these following boats: Miss Atlantic City(NJ), or Captain Collect(NJ), you will be automatically entered in our tournament. The fare for each trip will be $125 (tips for the mate included), which already includes the tournament entry fee. However, anglers must stay within the tournament guidelines to remain eligible (See Below).
1st Winning Prize for the Largest Blackfish (Tautog):
$1,000 check+$500 Fisherman Depot Gift Certificate+Trophy Plaque.
Eligibility: All anglers that book on our Miss Atlantic City(NJ), Captain Collect(NJ) blackfish charter trips during Nov. 21 - Dec. 17, 2011 are automatically entered in the tournament so long as they stay within tournament guidelines:

BFTC 4th Annual Blackfish Tournament Guidelines/ Grounds for Disqualification: 1. The heaviest blackfish caught during the tournament will win prize. 2. In the event of a tie for 1st place, parties will split 50/50 the first and second prize money.
3. Angler is allowed to fish only one rod at a time. 4. No Hermit Crabs. If the largest blackfish is caught using hermit crabs on trips during the tournament period, that fish will not be eligible for prizes. 5. No wire leader. If the largest blackfish is caught using wire leader (used as shock or as terminal tackle) on trips during the tournament period, that fish will not be eligible for prizes. Only monofilament and fluorocarbon leader line permitted. Monofilament, Flourocarbon, and Braid main lines are permitted. 6. Order of anglers boarding on the boat will be in the order in which payment was recieved (i.e., earliest payments = first to board). 7. All tournament fish will be weighed by the captain's using their certified scale. 8. All anglers participating in this tournament agree to do so at their own risk. 9. This tournament shall abide strictly to the NJ State Dept. of Environmental Conservation recreational fishing regulations and laws. 10. Any disputes will be considered by tournament organizers.
